The European Consumer Centre participates in the tourism fair

February 11, 2010

This year’s tourism fair Tourest 2010 takes place from the 12th to the 14th of February and the European Consumer Centre and  Consumer Protection Board  participate in it the first time.

The ever-growing demand is caused by the increase of different travel offers but unfortunately, it has resulted in a number of problems related to the tourism while forming 11% of all complaints filed to the Consumer Protection Board in 11%.

The reasons have been the delayed or cancelled flights, problems with tickets, unreliable travel bureaus and/or their bankruptcies, unpleasant incidents at the travel, etc.

Andres Sooniste, Director General of the Consumer Protection Board, said: "The well-chosen travel and review of your rights and possibilities will help you to make a right decision and create the assumption for a successful vacation."

Purpose of the Consumer Protection Board is to give advice to the participants for the choice of the travel and solution of the problems. Travel information materials can be found and specialists knowing the tourism domain can be consulted in the box of the Consumer Protection Board and European Consumer Centre to get answers to the questions concerning the travelling.

Representatives of the European Consumer Centre and Consumer Protection Board wait for you in the box A4.

See you at the fair!
