The European Consumer Centre of Estonia will participate in the tourism fair Tourest 2011

February 18, 2011

The Tourism fair Tourest 2011 will take place from the 18th to 20th of February and the Consumer Protection Board along with the European Consumer Centre will participate there the second time.

The year between the last and forthcoming fair has been quite a trial for the whole tourism sector. Ash cloud in Iceland gave a blow to the whole travel business in April. In May, one of the biggest Estonian travel companies TopTours AS declared the termination of its activity and extensive riots took place in Egypt, one of the favourite destinations of Estonians.

In order to increase consumers’ awareness and inform consumers about their rights while travelling, the ECC Estonia has decided for the second time to participate at the special tourism fair. Special materials about travelling and consumer rights in European Union can be found in the box of the European Consumer Centre and all visitors are welcome to ask for individual consultation in reference with their problems as consumers and passengers.

Representatives of the European Consumer Centre can be found in the box A4. See you all at the Tourest 2011!
