Press conference, dedicated to the opening of the European Consumer Centre of Estonia (ECC of Estonia) will be held at the office of the Consumer Protection Board (Kiriku 4, 2nd floor) on the 26th of April at 12.00.
In order to protect the rights of the consumers who make purchases and use services not only in Estonia but also in other member countries of the European Union, there has been created an ECC of Estonia.
Similar centers are established in all member countries of the EU and they form an international co-operation network European Consumer Center Net. The co-operation and information exchanging contributes to the better protection of the consumers and more effective solving of the problems. European Commission coordinates all activities of the network.
Helle Aruniit (General Director of the Estonian Consumer Protection Board) and Kristina Vaksmaa (Head of the ECC of Estonia) will introduce the principles, activities and first experiences of the ECC of Estonia at the mentioned press conference.
Maria Alajõe (Head of the Internal Market Department at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications) will also take part of the event.
